Brattforshedens Flygklubb

Brattforshedens Flygklubb is a Swedish flying club established in 1959, based at Brattforshedens airfield in Värmland. The club welcomes pilots, aviation enthusiasts and local visitors, and helps maintain the airfield’s historic character and traditions. Its grass runway serves visiting and club aircraft, while the airfield also hosts aerobatic practice, model flying and recurring ambulance helicopter training. The club’s own aircraft include a PA-28, and visitors can find operational information on runway use, radio frequencies, local procedures and available fuel.

From May to October, the club holds a motor gathering and fly-in on the first Tuesday of each month. It is also open every Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m., when visitors are invited to enjoy coffee and hamburgers. These meet-ups bring together people arriving by air and by road. The club shares activity updates, photographs and historical material about the airfield, including its distinctive grass-cutting tradition, which preserves a wartime camouflage pattern.
