Birmingham Royal Ballet

Birmingham Royal Ballet is a registered charity and ballet company presenting classical and reimagined works for audiences in Birmingham and beyond. Its programme includes much-loved productions such as Sir Peter Wright’s The Nutcracker and Swan Lake, alongside new interpretations of ballet classics. Carlos Acosta’s The Maiden of Venice, a reimagining of La Bayadère, is scheduled to visit Birmingham, Salford, Plymouth, Sunderland and Southampton in 2027. The company also collaborates with the Royal Ballet Sinfonia, including performances celebrating the music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

Alongside its stage productions, Birmingham Royal Ballet shares news, stories and behind-the-scenes features about its dancers, music and creative work. It offers audience events such as talks and on-stage activities, as well as opportunities to learn about ballet and take part in creative pathways. Supporters can join as Friends for benefits including priority ticket booking and access to selected rehearsals and events. The company also welcomes donations and sells official merchandise, including clothing, mugs and souvenir programmes.
