About Bread Buddies
BreadBuddies is a non-profit brand that aims to create community spaces in the form of bakeries for local people in need. Founded by Ilse, this initiative not only provides jobs for the local community but also offers a place for people to learn and socialize while baking, selling, and enjoying organic bread and more. The BreadBuddies strategy starts by mixing the ingredients - gathering a team of professionals and initiating a crowdfund campaign called Brood Nodig to realize their dream.
Once all the ingredients are mixed, BreadBuddies is currently searching for a bakery and shop in Gambia, where their first social bakery will be established. While the bread is resting, BreadBuddies will be operating and benefiting from their first bakery, while keeping a watchful eye on their next social bakery. Born in Gambia but thought-out in Curaçao and worked-out throughout the world, BreadBuddies aims to spread its social breads worldwide.
