About Breaking Cycles
Breaking Cycles is an international NGO with a 501c3 status based in the USA and incorporated in Delaware since 2022. While the organization does not have a physical office to save funds, their programs are focused in and around Quito, Ecuador. Their diverse team includes Rebekah Murray, a Zoologist and Animal Physiologist from New Zealand; Juan Manuel Crespo, an entrepreneur from Ecuador; Maria Cerda, an Ecuadorian-American based in New York; and Alfonso Falcony, from Ecuador.
Each team member brings unique skills and backgrounds that complement one another. Breaking Cycles aims to challenge and change negative habits and behaviors through their various initiatives. Rebekah, the Executive Director, is passionate about conservation, promoting bilingual education through her books, and encouraging the recognition and mitigation of wasteful practices.
Juan Manuel seeks to empower individuals, particularly the younger generation, by promoting entrepreneurship and free thought.
