Breaking The Chalk

BreakingTheChalk, also presented as The Nest and Therapy with Lyr, is a therapy practice supporting children, teens, and parents through mental health challenges. Led by Lyr Weltsman, the practice emphasizes an empathetic, non-judgmental environment where young people can express themselves, build confidence, and develop practical coping skills, while parents gain guidance and tools to support them. Its services include counselling for children and teens, parent consulting, and online therapy, with a face-to-face practice in Neve Zemer, Ra’anana.

The practice works with concerns such as anxiety, trauma, mood and eating disorders, ADHD, challenging behaviours, self-esteem, emotional regulation, and life transitions. Sessions may incorporate practical regulation techniques and cognitive behavioural therapy strategies, with parents involved through collaboration, feedback, and ongoing communication. The process begins with an introductory session or parent consultation, followed by therapy sessions as appropriate.
