Breakthrough Intervention

Lena Zammataro’s Breakthrough Intervention, LLC provides personalized in-home behavioral services for young children with autism, language delays, and other developmental disabilities in Middlesex and Monmouth counties, New Jersey. Led by a certified early childhood education teacher with 15 years of experience in special education, the practice uses evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to support each child’s individual strengths and needs.

Services focus on developmental areas including fine and gross motor skills, cognition, communication, adaptive life skills, and social-emotional development. ABA interventions may help children build language, self-help, play, and social skills, while addressing behaviors that interfere with learning and daily life. Support is available for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, including children transitioning out of early intervention and those needing help preparing for a school setting. The practice also offers in-home support related to IEP services.

Family participation is central to the approach. Parent training includes discussion, therapist modeling, caregiver practice, and feedback, with guidance continuing until families feel comfortable using interventions.
