Breviks Sportklubb (Breviks SK) is a local sports club serving the Brevik community. Its activities include table tennis and cross-country skiing, alongside sporting events such as the traditional Breviksnappet and the Julcupen. The club also offers members access to a training facility and organizes community activities and gatherings.
The club’s base is a clubhouse in Brevik, first built in 1960 and expanded over the years. Its facilities include a large hall used for table tennis, a kitchen, a recently built gym, and accessible hygiene facilities. The building is equipped with fibre internet, projectors, screens, and modern kitchen equipment, and the site has a drilled well. These spaces support both the club’s sports activities and its wider community use.
Breviks SK also shares its history, awards, events, and club news through its website. The clubhouse’s long-term future is uncertain because the club’s request to purchase surrounding land has not received unanimous approval from the landowners. The club says it is exploring ways to secure the site and continue its activities.
