Brewer Swimming is a family-owned swim school serving Sydney’s Lower North Shore, where it has nurtured and challenged swimmers since the mid-1980s. Founded and operated by Graeme and Narelle Brewer, the school combines personal attention with experienced leadership: Graeme is an Olympic and Commonwealth Games medallist, and Narelle previously worked as a preschool director before managing the school from 1990. Its programs aim to build water confidence, safety and swimming ability in a safe, enjoyable environment.
Offerings include water familiarisation, learn-to-swim lessons, skill development, technique refinement and squad classes. Small, carefully managed groups allow instructors to observe each swimmer, tailor challenges and monitor progress. The teaching team is described as qualified, enthusiastic and AUSTSWIM- or ASCTA-qualified, providing demonstrations, instruction and technical feedback.
Brewer Swimming offers lessons on Friday afternoons and Sunday mornings at St Ignatius College Riverview. With a focus on individual development, the school welcomes swimmers at different stages, from children becoming comfortable in the water to those developing stronger technique and training for continued progress
