The Scandinavian School of Brewing is a Danish brewing education institution that has trained brewers since 1925. Combining respect for traditional brewing craft with current scientific and technical knowledge, the school prepares students to produce beer with consistent quality and supports the development of new products through Nordic creativity. Its teaching is delivered in close cooperation with the University of Copenhagen.
The school’s flagship programme is the internationally recognized Diploma Master Brewer, a university-level course for applicants with a relevant bachelor’s degree or similar qualification. It covers the technical and management aspects of beer production and includes two years of study followed by six months of practical experience. The Diploma Craft Brewer offers a practical route focused on production work in a microbrewery, with two weeks of training and project work.
Additional courses cover beer, soft drinks technology, cider making and spirits distilling. The school also provides onsite training and learning resources, including a beer calculator and publications.
