BRICK is an independent, community-run memecoin project on the Base network, created to support investigative journalism and help everyday people facing powerful opponents. Inspired by the work of Reckless Ben, the project is a tribute rather than an official partnership: it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by him. Its central idea is to build support “brick by brick,” combining a community token with a fund for journalists and people involved in their stories.
The project’s tokenomics direct portions of trading taxes toward USDC holder distributions, the Brick Truth Fund, marketing and development, the BaseStonk ecosystem basket, and buybacks, burns, and liquidity. Holder distributions are described as automatic, with no staking or claiming, but depend on actual trading volume and are not guaranteed. The Truth Fund is intended to support costs such as legal defense and reporting; its first listed donation was $50 to Reckless Ben’s legal defense fundraiser. The community shares updates and its official contract information through Telegram, while publishing wallet details for on-chain transparency.
