BRIDGE OT is a Greater Los Angeles occupational therapy provider focused on sensory-informed Adaptive Skills Training for teens and young adults with autism and other developmental disabilities. Founded by Monica Caris, OTD, OTR/L, the organization was created to address a gap in services for this age group. Its approach is evidence-based, strengths-based, collaborative, and neurodiversity-affirming, supporting each client in pursuing personal goals and building confidence and independence.
Services help clients develop practical skills for everyday life, including personal care, time management, safety awareness, and basic household tasks. BRIDGE OT also supports executive functioning skills such as planning, organization, attention, task initiation, flexible thinking, emotional regulation, and self-monitoring. Social skills development is another focus, with guidance and practice in communication, recognizing social cues, forming relationships, and navigating everyday situations safely and effectively.
Monica Caris’s occupational therapy education and sensory integration training inform the program’s specialized perspective. BRIDGE OT aims to help clients strengthen abilities that support greater self-reliance and participation in daily life.
