Bridge to Skate is a U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit public benefit organization that uses skateboarding to support young people’s growth and community involvement. Its programs aim to help youth build self-confidence, personal empowerment, responsibility, and supportive relationships while providing a safe structure in which they can develop their potential. The organization presents skateboarding as a joyful, shared activity and a means of creative expression, fitness, and personal ownership.
Bridge to Skate’s programming includes Skateboard Discovery, Recreation and Fitness, Personal Development, Community Engagement, and Creative Expression. Its activities and events bring participants together through skate sessions, contests, and community gatherings, with featured events including a girls’ and LGBTQIA+ skate night and contests in Cali and New York. The organization’s “4-Wheel Drive” framework encourages participants to imagine a goal, develop a plan, explore ways to achieve it, and take action with support from the BTS community. Bridge to Skate also welcomes cash and equipment donations to support its work with youth.
