About Bridging Faith Gaps
Bridging Faith Gaps is a compassionate, judgment-free community dedicated to supporting those affected by organized religion, particularly focusing on the LGBTQIA+ individuals. Founded to address the emotional scars left by traditional churches, this 501(c) non-profit organization serves Elbert County and the broader northern Georgia region. The community provides a safe haven for individuals seeking to reconnect with their spirituality without fear of discrimination or judgment.
Guided by Brené Brown’s BRAVING principles, Bridging Faith Gaps creates a welcoming environment that encourages exploration and communal support. Monthly discussions tackle various themes such as allyship, forgiveness, and self-worth. Unlike conventional religious institutions, Bridging Faith Gaps operates without formal structures or rituals, emphasizing inclusivity and acceptance for all marginalized groups.
The organization aims to heal the rifts caused by past religious trauma, inviting participants to bring their authentic selves to a nurturing gathering of like-minded individuals where love and understanding prevail.
