Bright Appetites

Bright Appetites Paediatric Nutrition provides dietetic services for babies, children and young adults in Newcastle, the Hunter and other areas of New South Wales. Led by Alex Bartrop, an Accredited Practising Dietitian with a paediatric focus, the practice supports families to improve children’s growth and nutrition while preserving the enjoyment of eating. Services address a wide range of needs, including faltering growth, food allergies and intolerances, fussy or selective eating, feeding difficulties, and nutrition for children using nasogastric, jejunostomy or gastrostomy tubes.

Bright Appetites also offers support for weight concerns and healthy lifestyle changes, gastrointestinal conditions such as coeliac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome and constipation, as well as infant and toddler nutrition, introducing solids, iron deficiency, adolescent health and nutrition, and disability-related needs for self- or plan-managed NDIS participants. Appointments are available in person at the Charlestown clinic and via Telehealth.
