Brighton Maths Tutor

Garden City Maths is the tutoring service of Tom Royall, an experienced and friendly maths tutor serving Brighton and the surrounding area. A former secondary school teacher, Tom offers one-to-one tuition for primary and secondary pupils, GCSE, A Level (AS, A2 and Further), and IB Diploma students at Standard and Higher Level, as well as QTS numeracy. Sessions are available online or in person at the student’s home in Brighton, at £30 per hour.

Tom’s teaching focuses on identifying individual misconceptions that can be difficult to address in a classroom, helping students build confidence and rediscover enjoyment in maths. Drawing on his psychology background and university-level maths studies, he encourages learners to explore problems and develop their own approaches, using accessible materials and written resources, including past test papers. He also provides A-level resources, including interactive mechanics material, and can often support literacy, music and science topics.
