Brighton Swimming Club is the proud host of the iconic Pier to Pier Swim, one of the UK's oldest and most historic open water swim events. Scheduled for June 22, 2025, with a backup date of July 19, this exhilarating race invites swimmers of all abilities, from seasoned competitors to first-time participants. The event offers two distinct experiences: the competitive Pier to Pier Race, a 1km swim where participants compete for trophies, and the more relaxed Pier to Pier Experience, designed for non-competitive swimmers.
Swimmers aged 14 and older can participate, with younger athletes needing to be part of a Swim England club. Every participant receives a finishing medal, swim hat, and timing chip, ensuring a memorable experience. Since its inception in 1936, the Pier to Pier has fostered community spirit and sporting excellence, and continues to evolve while emphasizing safety and inclusivity. With the support of local organizations and enthusiastic volunteers, Brighton Swimming Club remains dedicated to celebrating the joy of swimming in one of England’s most picturesque coastal settings.
