Brilliant Attitude Ranch

Brilliant Attitude Ranch is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization in Silex, Missouri, founded around the belief that working with mustangs can foster confidence, appreciation, and personal growth. Mustang trainer Dennis Cappel shares his experience training horses and his view of mustangs as an important part of America’s heritage, reflecting the influences of Spanish, Indigenous, and European settlers. The ranch offers cowboy mentorship programs, using horses and hands-on experience to help participants explore connection, responsibility, and self-discovery.

Its horses include Brilliant Attitude, a trained mustang, and CC’s Serenity, who remains wild, alongside other horses used in the mentorship program. Through the ranch’s work, visitors are invited to consider themes of freedom, acceptance, love, and hope, and to recognize the creativity and potential in themselves. Brilliant Attitude Ranch presents its programs as an opportunity to learn through time with horses and to experience a meaningful journey shaped by the mustangs’ spirit.

The organization is located at 66 White Wildlife Road and welcomes inquiries by email or phone
