Brisbane Parkour Association is a Brisbane-based organisation offering parkour training for children, teenagers and adults. Its classes and workshops introduce participants to parkour as a method of physical training focused on overcoming physical and mental obstacles through movement. The association also presents parkour as a way to build useful strength, confidence, self-understanding and practical skills, grounded in values of altruism, longevity and self-improvement.
Its program includes First Timers classes for ages 12 and over, Kids classes for ages 7 to 11, and Fundamentals and Progressions sessions for ages 12 and over. The association also offers community training, private workshops and training across Brisbane and surrounding areas. Participants are encouraged to explore their city in a new way, improve their fitness, have fun and meet others while developing movement skills.
Instructors are qualified through the Australian Parkour Association’s Instructor Qualification program. All hold Working with Children Check Blue Cards, and each class has a first-aid-qualified instructor, supporting a high standard of instruction and safety.
