The British Pain Society is the oldest and largest multidisciplinary professional organization in the UK dedicated to the study and management of pain. With over 800 members, our society strives to reduce the suffering of individuals enduring daily pain by advancing the understanding and treatment of pain. Chronic pain affects over a third of the population and is distressing and highly disabling.
Our alliance of professionals collaborates with patients and industry partners to bridge the gap between the care people require and what is currently available. We are committed to promoting education, training, research, and development in all fields of pain, as well as increasing awareness of pain prevalence and management options. Through our Council, Committees, Special Interest Groups, publications, and events like the Annual Scientific Meeting, we remain at the forefront of pain management.
As a registered charity, we aim to ensure that the treatment of pain remains a fundamental human right. Join us in our mission to make a difference in the lives of those suffering from pain
