Business Region MidtVest is a collaboration between seven municipalities in the midwestern part of Denmark. Their mission is to strengthen growth, create new jobs, and attract skilled workforce to the region. The region focuses particularly on education, green transition, and qualified workforce.

They play a key role in the national talent attraction program, Kompetencer til et Grønt Danmark (Competences for a Green Denmark), aiming to enhance the overall level of attracting and retaining international workforce throughout Denmark. In order to continue attracting and retaining qualified workforce in Midt- and Vestjylland (the central and western part of Denmark), Business Region MidtVest leads the regional effort called Headstart Career, which brings together businesses in the area to attract and retain the employees they need now and in the future. Additionally, they organize Madmødet, a major food celebration in Midt- and Vestjylland that brings together people who eat, harvest, fish, prepare, and decide on food.

Madmødet aims to create awareness and pride in the region's abundant food resources, while also serving as a branding platform for local businesses and organizations. Business Region MidtVest also collaborates with various partners to promote career opportunities in the industrial sector through the STEM på industrien (STEM in the Industry) initiative, bridging the gap between general education, higher education institutions, and industrial companies in the region.
