The Bromsgrove Astronomical Society (BASOC) is a vibrant community located in the heart of Bromsgrove, UK, dedicated to fostering an appreciation for astronomy among enthusiasts of all ages and expertise. Established in 2008, the society meets bi-monthly at the Bromsgrove Rugby Club, a prime location offering excellent dark skies for observations and a welcoming atmosphere.

Members enjoy a diverse range of activities, including observing evenings on the first Monday of the month, where both seasoned astronomers and novices come together to share knowledge, seek assistance, and explore the night sky. The society also hosts formal gatherings on the third Monday, featuring guest speakers, technical discussions, and interactive quizzes, catering to a wide array of interests within the astronomical field.

With over 70 members, BASOC is one of the UK's largest astronomical societies. Newcomers are encouraged to join, making it a perfect platform for expanding your understanding of the universe while connecting with fellow astronomy enthusiasts.
