Brotforum.de is an independent, member-supported online community dedicated to bread baking and the craft of baking. Founded as a place for hobby bakers to exchange ideas, it grew over many years into a prominent German-language forum focused on bread. Members use the platform to share discussions, images, and knowledge related to baking, while connecting with others who share their interest. The forum is currently operated collectively by its members and is ad-free; its ongoing costs are covered through member contributions.

Following a change of operators, engaged community members have helped preserve the forum and its archive. A backup of the former site retains its posts, images, and user account details, and the community has worked to restore access and repair links after the move to a new domain and forum structure. Brotforum.de describes itself as “die Hobbybäckerei” and continues to serve as a shared space for people interested in home bread baking and artisanal baking practices.
