Welcome to the official website of the Brown University Mahjong Club! Founded in 2019, our club is dedicated to spreading our love of mahjong to the Brown community. We are a Category III Brown Undergraduate Council of Students (UCS)-accredited student organization.
At Brown University Mahjong Club, our goal is to introduce more members of the community to the game of mahjong and provide them with opportunities to learn and play. Through our meetings, community members can not only learn the game but also compete against others. We believe that mahjong is an important cultural tradition and custom of China, often overshadowed by more well-known aspects of Chinese culture. By teaching more people how to play mahjong, we hope to share this crucial aspect of Chinese culture.
Join our email list to stay updated on upcoming events and tournament results. We welcome everyone to our events, open to all! If you have any inquiries, feel free to reach out to us via email at [email protected]. Learn & Play Mahjong with us and discover the beauty of this ancient game.
