BrowserGate

Microsoft is running one of the largest corporate espionage operations in modern history. Every time any of LinkedIn’s one billion users visits linkedin.com, hidden code searches their computer for installed software, collects the results, and transmits them to LinkedIn’s servers and to third-party companies including an American-Israeli cybersecurity firm. The user is never asked. Never told. LinkedIn’s privacy policy does not mention it. Because LinkedIn knows each user’s real name, employer, and job title, it is not searching anonymous visitors. It is searching identified people at identified companies. Millions of companies. Every day. All over the world.

About BrowserGate
BrowserGate is an advocacy initiative focusing on privacy concerns related to LinkedIn's data collection practices. With over 1. 2 billion users, LinkedIn is allegedly scanning users' browsers for 6,222 specific Chrome extensions without their consent, as outlined in their privacy policy.
This extensive scanning identifies tools used for sales, job hunting, ad blocking, and even personal beliefs tied to religion and politics. BrowserGate aims to raise public awareness about these practices and push for legal accountability, emphasizing that many LinkedIn users are uninformed about how their data is being shared. The initiative offers resources, including a searchable database of scanned extensions and technical breakdowns of LinkedIn's methods.
With growing legal and public pressure, BrowserGate encourages individuals to take action, share their findings, and join a community advocating for digital fairness. For detailed evidence and to find out if your extensions are included in LinkedIn’s scans, visit browsergate. eu
