Broye Source de Vie

Broye Source de Vie is a Swiss association founded in 2009 to help restore the Broye River and its tributaries. Its founders were concerned that the canalised river between Moudon and Salavaux no longer provided suitable living conditions for many species. The association works to advance river revitalisation and support biodiversity, bringing attention to the long-term commitment, collaboration and funding such projects require. Its efforts have helped secure the Broye’s designation as a priority river in Switzerland’s national programme to revitalise rivers and lakes.

The association shares information about restoration projects, including those underway and completed, and encourages local involvement through membership, volunteering and donations. It also offers guided walks along the Broye and its tributaries, publishes podcasts, and posts news about its activities and organisation. Its educational outreach includes events such as an evening exploring beaver habitats with children in Avenches. Broye Source de Vie invites people who care about the region’s natural environments to support its work and help give the river and its tributaries renewed life.
