Brucewoods.ca is the handcrafted woodworking business of Bruce Hobson, based in Smithers, British Columbia. The brand celebrates the natural character of Northern BC wood, turning locally sourced materials into practical pieces, distinctive gifts, and thoughtful memorials. Each item is made by hand, with careful attention to the wood’s grain, texture, and finish, and is presented as Canadian-made craftsmanship.

The collection includes wood-turned bowls, platters, vases, cutting boards, tables, and other wood projects, as well as cremation urns for people and pets. Urns are crafted from sustainably sourced Northern BC wood and offer families a personal way to honor a loved one. The shop also features decorative and functional pieces, including a wood-turned phone speaker amplifier.

Customers can browse and purchase available work through the online shop, where pieces may include pine, spruce, fir, hemlock, birch, cedar, and maple burl. Brucewoods.ca also shares updates and information through its blog and welcomes questions or custom project ideas.
