About Brussels Major Events
Brussels Dance Festival is a city-led celebration of dance, music and culture, organized as a project by the City of Brussels. Held from 14 to 23 August 2026, the festival brings performances and activities to venues across the city centre, including the Bourse, De Brouckère, Place de la Monnaie and Brussels City Hall. Its programme combines dance shows, battles, workshops, concerts and DJ sets, with many events free and open to all.
Visitors can enjoy live performances on the Fusion Stage, rooftop afterparties featuring varied music styles, and participatory activities such as karaoke and an outdoor classical ballet barre led by Europa Danse Company. The festival also presents Heritage in Motion, an immersive contemporary dance experience in Brussels City Hall, created by Abis and choreographed by Julien Carlier. Designed for a broad audience, Brussels Dance Festival offers opportunities to watch, learn and take part, while connecting movement and music with the city’s public spaces and heritage. Its programme includes both free events and ticketed experiences.
