Brystkræftforeningen is an independent, nationwide Danish association representing people affected by breast cancer and those with genetic mutations that increase their risk of developing the disease. Its members include people who have or have had breast cancer, while relatives, healthcare professionals and other supporters are also welcome. The association advocates for timely, accurate diagnosis, specialised treatment and effective rehabilitation, and works to promote care, information and support tailored to each person’s physical and emotional needs. Its priorities include access to up-to-date treatment and approved medicines, support for families, and genetic assessment and preventive care in line with current guidance and research.

Brystkræftforeningen provides information on topics such as diagnosis, treatment, reconstruction, side effects, hereditary breast cancer, work and family life. Members can connect through local branches across Denmark, which organise regular gatherings and activities, as well as networks for people with shared experiences. The association also offers events, a magazine, newsletters, podcasts and a webshop, and participates in research and health-policy discussions.
