BSAO

The Building Science Association of Ontario (BSAO) is a professional association dedicated to advancing excellence in the design, construction, and performance of building envelopes. It brings together professionals and organizations across architecture, engineering, research, manufacturing, and construction to strengthen collaboration and technical knowledge. BSAO’s vision is a highly educated industry capable of delivering consistently high-quality building enclosures, and its mission is to advocate for building science while providing education and opportunities for members to connect.

The association offers conferences, technical forums, field trips, webinars, and monthly dinner presentations, along with event recordings and educational resources. Members can access networking opportunities, industry news, career listings, and the Pushing the Envelope magazine and library, featuring material authored by building-envelope experts. BSAO also supports the next generation of professionals through student chapters, no-fee student membership opportunities, and undergraduate and graduate scholarships. Its awards include the Beckie Award, Rising Star Award, and Fellowship Award, and it offers the Building Science Specialist designation.
