BSUN, also known as the Black Sea Universities Network, is an international ad-hoc organization established to foster collaboration among universities in the Black Sea Region. With over 120 member universities from 12 countries, including Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, Greece, and Ukraine, BSUN aims to create a platform for knowledge exchange and development. As a Sectoral Dialogue Partner to the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), BSUN plays a significant role in promoting educational and research initiatives.

In addition, BSUN is a member of the European University Association (EUA) and a founding member of the UN Academic Impact Initiative. The network focuses on key areas like blue growth, sustainable development, and renewable energy sources, and has formed strategic partnerships with organizations like Hewlett Packard Romania and ENEA from Italy. With the guidance of the Executive Board and coordination by the Presidential Troika, BSUN works towards implementing its priorities, as approved by the Conference of Rectors from the Black Sea Region.
