About Cités Unies Liban
Cités Unies Liban/Bureau Technique des Villes Libanaises (CUL/BTVL) represents the global organization United Cities and Local Governments (CGLU) in Lebanon. Their mission is to promote local democracy, partnerships, and solidarity among cities through cooperation programs. CUL/BTVL supports decentralized cooperation and mobilizes funding for international actions and projects of its members.
As a Lebanese association, they oversee the Committee of Lebanese Mayors, providing technical and institutional support for the development and implementation of projects and fostering international relations. Their recent projects include assistance to Lebanese municipalities in economic development and citizen participation, strengthening local governance on migration, and the creation of a Municipal Training Center. CUL/BTVL also provides resources and publications, ensuring municipalities have the necessary tools to face the challenges of crisis management.
