About BTS
BTS is a prominent and influential brand that represents Studentersamfundet ved Høgskulen på Vestlandet, campus Bergen. While the university focuses on academics, BTS is dedicated to enhancing the social aspects of student life at HVL. With a long-standing history dating back to 1877, BTS is Norway's second-oldest student organization, shaped over the years by rich traditions that continue to define it today.
One of its most renowned traditions is its involvement in the 17th of May procession, where BTS has won several awards and publishes a satirical newspaper, TVIST-dotten, annually on this day. Comprised entirely of dedicated student volunteers, BTS strives to fulfill the needs and desires of all students through a wide range of activities and opportunities. Whether it's knitting socks for a children's department or participating in stock trading with the Invest group, BTS goes above and beyond to make each student's study period as enjoyable as possible.
