BuboFlash is an online learning system that helps people turn reading into lasting knowledge. Users can read PDFs and web pages, highlight important passages, and convert annotations into question-and-answer flashcards. Its review system automatically schedules repetitions at increasing intervals, adapting to each learner and card so users can focus on material they need to remember. Annotations are organized in a priority queue, supporting incremental reading and ongoing review.
BuboFlash also enables people to work with others on shared documents, annotations, flashcards, and PDFs when they choose. Each person retains an independent view and edits are not overwritten by collaborators; cards currently being learned are protected from upstream changes. Uploaded documents remain private unless users decide to share them. The service offers features including PDF annotation, image-based flashcards, and search for annotations and cards. Flashcards can also be exported for use in SuperMemo. BuboFlash is tested on Chrome and Chromium, and its web-page highlighting feature requires the Chrome extension. New users can create a free account.
