Buceo Adaptado

DIBA, the Association for the Integral Development of Adapted Diving, is a nonprofit organisation working across Spain to make scuba diving accessible to people with disabilities or functional diversity. Its mission spans the full experience of adapted diving, from introductory dives for new participants to the preparation of professionals who can support and teach them. DIBA adapts diving instruction, equipment and facilities, while also encouraging a more creative and inclusive mindset among instructors and the wider diving community.

The association offers adapted diving courses, including Open Water Diver Levels II and III, as well as professional training for Dive Buddies, Divemasters, Assistant Instructors and Instructors. It also provides pathways for already-qualified instructors to specialise in adapted diving. Through these services, DIBA aims to help more people take part in diving and to develop the skills and practices needed to support them. The organisation shares information about its work, relevant legislation, training adaptations and student experiences, and promotes its “Sin Límites” project.
