Buchan Offshore Wind is a groundbreaking project located 75 km northeast of Fraserburgh on the Aberdeenshire Coast with a capacity of around 1GW, which represents a new frontier for offshore wind in Scotland. Our goal is to harness the combined experience and capability to develop and deliver one of the world’s largest floating offshore wind farms, maximizing the output of clean, green renewable power while respecting the local and regional environment.

We are committed to actively engaging with and gathering the views of other users of the marine environment and local and national stakeholders. Additionally, we are dedicated to building with the Scottish supply chain and supporting organizations to maximize local content and create Scottish jobs. Not only are we deploying the latest processes and technology to drive down the cost of energy from floating wind, but we are also focused on creating opportunities for the Scottish supply chain, skills, and employment.
