Buckeye Catholic is the Catholic campus ministry dedicated to serving the students, faculty, and staff of The Ohio State University. Located across the street from campus on Lane Avenue, the St. Thomas More Newman Center is the heart of our ministry.

Buckeye Catholic encompasses various campus ministry efforts, including the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS) and Saint Paul’s Outreach (SPO). As one unified body, we strive to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with every student at Ohio State. Under the guidance of Bishop Earl Fernandes and with the support of Dominican friars, visiting priests, and bishops, we aim to create a home for all students.

Our mission is to bring students closer to Jesus Christ, guide them in their faith and prayer life, and develop leaders who will impact their parishes. Through our ministry, we hope to provide every student at The Ohio State University with a transformative encounter with Christ, so they can experience His love and share the joy of the Gospel with others.
