The app organizes a monthly budget into three categories: bills, savings, and everyday spending.

Users can connect bank accounts in read-only mode to view balances and spending, while transactions are automatically categorized and can be corrected. Budger also aims to let users pay bills, track each payment, and get clear explanations based on their financial figures. Security features described include a six-digit passcode, Face ID, automatic locking, and confirmation for money movements.

Budger is not yet launched and is not a bank; its interactive demonstration uses fictional money, accounts, and providers, so no real transactions occur. The company says that, at launch, funds will be held by a regulated Canadian financial partner, to be identified before accounts open
