Budokai Senshi is a martial arts and fitness association serving Goeree-Overflakkee in the Netherlands. Growing from a group of friends into a club with more than 350 members, it welcomes participants of all abilities, from age two. Its training options include Kyokushinkai Karate, kickboxing, Yawara Ju Jutsu, Kickbag, boxing, circuit training and kettlebell training.
Classes aim to develop physical fitness and conditioning while helping participants build resilience and confidence. The club supports both recreational members and those interested in competition, including in karate and kickboxing, and takes part in several tournaments each year. Budokai Senshi says it has produced Dutch and international champions.
Instruction is provided by qualified and/or officially recognised teachers, and the association is affiliated with the Yawara Ju Jutsu Federation and the Netherlands Kyokushin Karate Union. It identifies as an official UFW professional sports centre. Training takes place at its main location in Sommelsdijk, with additional venues in Goedereede for youth karate and in Achthuizen.
