Budokan Montelupo is a martial arts school based in Montelupo Fiorentino, Tuscany, Italy. Founded in 1986 by Rodolfo Bancone, the school grew from a passion for karate and has moved between locations in the area before settling in Montelupo. It offers training for children, young people, and adults, with classes in karate, personal self-defense, and Aikido, including Katori Shinto Ryu.
The program also includes total-body and functional training for people seeking general fitness alongside martial arts practice. Budokan welcomes both experienced practitioners and newcomers, and its website invites prospective students to ask about a free trial lesson. Training is presented as a way to develop discipline, fitness, practical skills, and confidence.
The school also highlights the potential physical, mental, and social benefits of martial arts for older adults, noting that some practice can be adapted to individual needs. Visitors can find course information, schedules, events, and contact details through the school’s website or by telephone
