Budoschool Ton Neuhaus

Budoschool Ton Neuhaus is a martial arts school offering karate and jiu-jitsu training in Alkmaar and nearby communities, including Hoorn, Zwaag and Kersenboogerd. The school welcomes beginners and experienced students alike, with free, no-obligation trial lessons for those interested in joining. Training is offered five days a week at several sports halls and school facilities.

The school emphasizes enjoyment, learning together, mutual respect and discipline, drawing on values associated with Japanese martial arts. In karate classes, students develop punches, kicks and defensive techniques, and practise kata, a sequence performed against imagined opponents, and kumite, training with an opponent. Jiu-jitsu instruction covers practical self-defence skills, including blocking strikes, escaping holds, applying locks, throwing an opponent and defending from the ground. Alongside physical techniques, the school aims to build students’ mental strength, fitness and resilience. Its approach values every student, from newcomers to black belts, and presents martial arts as a way to grow stronger together. Prospective members can find class schedules and contact the school by phone or email.
