About Buena Vida Specialty Coffee
Buena Vida Café Orgánico is a brand with a mission to revolutionize the coffee industry. Our journey began with a vision to craft the finest organic specialty coffee, exclusively sourced from Costa Rica. However, we couldn't ignore the sobering realities of the coffee industry.
The majority of coffee producers are smallholder farms, struggling to make ends meet. Shockingly, less than 7% of global coffee is organic, and in Costa Rica, only 1. 5% of all coffee produced is organic.
Compounding the issue further, Costa Rica is known for high pesticide usage, employing outdated and banned agrochemicals, causing global concerns. Additionally, the industry is witnessing a decline in second and third-generation producers, and climate change threatens the livelihoods of 27,000 Costa Rican coffee producers. Guided by our unwavering passion, we have embarked on a mission to provide the highest quality certified organic specialty coffee while addressing these challenges head-on.
