A Unique South African Bushveld Experience In The Heart Of The Klein Karoo Within The Garden Route. Our luxurious tents are a unique feature. We have 9 Luxury Waterhole tents that are at the water's edge. Each with a private deck overlapping the water. You can enjoy sundowners here or relax in the warm African sun. You can spot hippos and other game right from your tent. We also have 20 Luxury tents a few meters further from the water. These have magnificent views over the waterhole and general lodge area. Furthermore, we have 5 Family tents perfect for the whole family with 2 rooms and a shared bathroom. Our residents have their own private swimming pool to cool off on hot Karoo days. Like the waterfront tents, the pool is at the edge of the waterhole and an amazing place to relax and enjoy a nice swim whilst having wildlife nearby.

About Buffelsdrift
Buffelsdrift Game Lodge in Oudtshoorn, South Africa offers a unique and memorable experience for guests. As part of the EWT’s Cheetah Meta-population project, the lodge is dedicated to conserving the habitat and increasing the free-roaming cheetah population in Southern Africa. Visitors can track these captivating predators in their natural environment, both by vehicle and on foot.
The lodge aims to create conservation awareness through education, giving guests the opportunity to learn about cheetahs and their importance in the ecosystem. After two years of being a part of the Buffelsdrift family, the cheetahs have adapted and relaxed in their new environment. For those seeking adventure, the Free-roaming Cheetah Experience is a must-try activity.
During the 3-4 hour excursion, guests can witness the beauty and power of the cheetahs up close. With a minimum age of 12 years and a minimum height requirement of 1. 2m, this activity is suitable for older children and adults.
