Bugfest

Bugfest Ltd is a UK-wide provider of educational and entertainment experiences centred on insects, minibeasts and natural history. Founded in 2006, the organisation describes its approach as ethical and focused on education, fascination and inspiration. Its team delivers qualified, engaging activities for schools, families, community groups and public events, with learning designed to make science and nature memorable.

For primary schools, preschools and youth groups, Bugfest offers creature visits, assemblies and curriculum-linked sessions on topics including rainforests, habitats, ecosystems, Africa and animal biology. Activities can include close-up viewing through macro cameras and supervised handling, with one animal presented at a time. The company also provides parties, including home and village-hall packages, and runs interactive shows for holiday parks, festivals and major events. Its services range from mobile minibeast displays to high-energy wildlife theatre and family-focused discovery shows.

Bugfest also operates a dedicated bug room in Dorset, offering handling sessions in naturalised enclosures for groups of up to twenty. The organisation highlights its experienced, mentored team, educational expertise and safety-conscious delivery.
