Sahih al-Bukhari Encyclopedia is a research project by Ata’at Al-Ilm that brings together the text of Sahih al-Bukhari and a wide range of materials related to its transmission, study, and commentary. Designed for researchers, students, and readers across disciplines including hadith, jurisprudence, interpretation, and Arabic language, the digital encyclopedia connects sources and references directly to relevant passages in the collection.

Its resources include different narrations and manuscript copies, commentaries, annotations, and studies, alongside rare handwritten originals and works previously unavailable in print. The project reports that its included books have been collated and checked against manuscript sources, with links to the manuscripts used for verification. Tools help users compare accounts, identify variations and additional material, and explore detailed information about the text. Specialized fonts also reproduce scholarly notation used in hadith manuscripts. The encyclopedia offers editions and updates, with applications available for Windows, Android, and iPhone. Its aim is to make extensive historical and scholarly work on Sahih al-Bukhari more accessible through a carefully documented, digitally connected research resource.
