Burchvif

Burchvif is a cultural volunteer association based in Borgolavezzaro, Italy, dedicated to researching, safeguarding and promoting the area’s environmental, historical and cultural heritage. The organisation works to conserve biodiversity and recover local traditions through habitat projects, community initiatives and public events. Its conservation work includes managing local oases and developing environments for native wildlife and plants.

At Campo della Ghina, Burchvif is expanding its land to create a wet, rice-field-inspired habitat rich in spontaneous vegetation, alongside a flower meadow intended to support pollinating insects. The plans also include flowering and fruit-bearing shrubs, trees, paths and educational information for visitors. Burchvif collaborates with other organisations, including the FAI Delegation of Novara, to organise activities such as guided firefly walks.

It also shares information through publications and meetings, and welcomes volunteers who want to contribute to biodiversity protection, traditional heritage or events. Registered with Italy’s RUNTS, the association adheres to the National Federation Pro Natura and Pro Natura Piemonte
