About Bureau MaRiT
Bureau MaRiT is a Dutch detective-fiction brand centered on a series of Rotterdam-set crime novels by author E. D. Vermeulen.
The books follow private detective Marit Johansen as she investigates missing people, suspicious deaths, burglaries and other unsettling cases, often alongside or in contact with the Rotterdam Rijnmond police. Each story combines suspense and mystery with a touch of romance, psychological depth and contemporary themes. The eight novels include The Missing Child, The Black Widow, The Mysterious Burglaries, A Hot Death, A Fatal Mistake, The House Master, The Cat Boarding House and The Battle in Kralingse Bos.
The books are designed to be read independently, so readers can start with any instalment. Bureau MaRiT titles are available to order online, and all eight detectives have also been released as audiobooks.
