Welcome to the Burgess Foundation! We are a registered NGO in Uganda, dedicated to philanthropy and sustainable development. Our mission is to empower communities and promote their well-being through various programs and initiatives. At Burgess Foundation, we offer a range of products and services focused on different thematic areas.

Our programs include Maternal Health, Menstrual Hygiene, Livelihoods Support, Elderly Care, and Access to Education. In our Livelihoods Support program, we train youth, women, and men in the community with practical skills such as soap making, hairdressing, book making, candle making, and Vaseline production. This enables households to generate income for their basic needs.

For the elderly, we provide emotional support interventions, conduct outreach check-ups, and organize elder care engagements in partnership with health centers. We also advocate for maternal health resources and work with NGOs and health centers to increase access to maternal health services. Moreover, our foundation offers life skills training to young people, aiming to challenge negative social norms and reduce the risk of HIV/AIDS infections.

We are also passionate about menstrual hygiene and provide education on the subject as well as hands-on skills training to make reusable sanitary pads. By addressing this issue, we hope to reduce the rate of girls dropping out of school due to a lack of menstrual hygiene products. Additionally, Burgess Foundation provides scholarships, scholastic materials, and after-school programs to bright and disadvantaged girls and boys, promoting access to education.
