Burkhardsfeldener Karnevalsfreunde

Burkhardsfeldener Karnevalsfreunde e.V. is a carnival association that brings together performers, volunteers and local audiences to celebrate the carnival season. Its activities include major carnival sessions, children’s events, ceremonies for the crowning of its prince and princess pairs, and participation in local parades, including those in Laubach, Gießen and Hattenrod. The association’s programme serves both adults and young people, with a dedicated children’s session, children’s carnival and youth performances.

Its many groups include dance teams for different ages, a dance pair, a singing group and performers of comic carnival speeches. Members and volunteers also support the celebrations through practical teams focused on decoration, photography, sewing, event technology and float construction. The association shares event information, ticket-sale details, photographs, campaign archives, carnival-order galleries and club clothing through its website. Its 2026–2027 calendar includes a dance workshop, a family celebration, the annual induction ceremony, the 50th Fremdensitzung and several parades. Vereins and other ticket-order enquiries are directed to the association by email.
