Burlington Skating Centre is a not-for-profit skating organization founded in 1953 and based at Pad 4 of the Appleby Ice Centre in Burlington, Ontario. It offers year-round Skate Canada programs for participants of different ages and skill levels, helping newcomers learn the basics and supporting skaters as they develop their abilities. Program options include preschool skating, PreCanSkate, CanSkate, Learn to Skate, StarSkate, competitive skating, PowerSkate, synchronized skating and adult skating.
PowerSkate is also listed for children aged 8 to 12. Skaters in StarSkate programs can add private coaching during their regular sessions. The centre’s activities extend beyond lessons, with test days, skating skills, free skate, dance and artistic events, as well as seminars, a skating gala, an annual awards and recognition banquet, and a used skate and apparel sale.
Burlington Skating Centre also welcomes volunteers to help make its events successful. Its website provides program information, schedules, registration details and contact options for families seeking guidance in choosing a suitable skating program
