Busca Normas is a Brazilian standards intelligence hub that organizes public metadata for 19,325 ABNT technical standards, including 10,061 current and 9,264 cancelled standards across 237 technical committees. Its free search service helps professionals check a standard’s status, edition history, ISO and IEC equivalences, replacement relationships, and links to related standards. The platform also connects standards with regulatory requirements from 13 public bodies, including workplace regulations, fire department guidance, and materials from Inmetro, ANATEL, ANVISA, and other agencies.

Users can explore more than 95,000 public procurement notices, along with academic references, legislation, and court decisions. Tools include dependency maps, validity timelines, side-by-side comparisons, sector-based standards kits, specification text for tenders, and citation generators in ABNT, APA, and Vancouver formats. The site also offers practical guides on standards, compliance, and how to verify whether a standard remains in force.

Busca Normas provides metadata rather than reproducing or selling standards; users seeking full standard texts are directed to ABNT’s official catalogue
